A cure for Invisible Biting Bugs on the skin

I have been through hell and back literally and once again feel alive again thank god. I was experiencing the same exact problem alot of people are "Invisible Biting bugs on my skin" for a few weeks now and I will start from the beginning to let you know my story. A few weeks ago I started to feel these "bugs" crawling and biting me and they were invisible to the naked eye but found myself constantly scratching and being bit. It got worse by the day and was to a point unbearable. There are 5 people in my household but only me, my fiance and daughter were experiencing these invisible biting "bugs" but my 2 sons were not. I thought we had bedbugs and scabies and took precautions to get treatment for both including my sons to make sure they weren't exposed to anything. Me, my fiance and daughter were constantly experiencing the same thing after the treatment but my boys did not. It didn't make sense to me. The doctors give you no direction because you don't have any evidence to show them and the exterminators can't find anything in the house so we were left on our own. I honestly was losing my sanity and was scared out of my mind that what ever it was that was constantly biting
us will never go away because we don't know what it is to get rid of it.

I started to research online and realize that this is a common researched issue that exists but no one has answers. I was getting very discouraged after reading all these posts with no conclusion. Scared out of my mind that this was going to go on for the rest of my life. It got so bad that I was becoming delusional and seeing black spots in random places. I am not sure if that was due to lack of sleep because as you know it is hard to sleep when you are constantly being attacked by invisible biting bugs. I read some home treatments that I found to not really be useful. The one that did relieve me a little was putting a little bleach in my bath water. After my relentless online research, as now that seemed to be my only source for information I came across an article that talked about fungus spores. This was not even close to what I was researching but read it anyways. It lead me further into researching into "MOLD SPORES". I had no clue about them and read all about them. I was experiencing the same exact symptoms (crawling biting invisible bugs all day and night) that most of these people are searching online for. The problem is people are not researching the right information. I know because for the last week I was looking up "Invisible Biting bugs or parasites on my skin" and that led me nowhere.

Anyways, after reading what mold spores are, they symptoms are  the same exact thing as what I was experiencing. House plants, cold water vaporizers, humidifiers, and dirty air vents can be sources of airborne mold spores, mildews, and bacteria that could cause skin reactions that feel like invisible bugs biting on your skin consistently. I went home and for some reason decided to check my humidifier that is on every night in my room that me my fiance and daughter share. What do you know, it was infested with mold (like 3 inches thick). We didn't know about changing the filters so we have this humidifier on every night from bedtime until we wake up blowing these bacterial mold spores on us infested us and our room. It can also be in your air conditioner which was my next filter that I changed that had mold but not as bad or in your house (water leak). It all made sense now! My boys were not exposed to my room so they didn't have any symptoms but we did because it was directly on us through the night and only
building and getting worse (I now feel like I have respiratory problems due to this and only time will tell with my daughter). The scabies treatment didn't work because we were exposed to this mold all the time. So I removed the humidifier and bleached down my room (immediately upon bleaching down
my bed they exploding onto my body like they were clinging for dear life. Bleach kills the suckers) and then took a bath with a little bleach and washed my body with a dandruff shampoo. I felt so cleansed and slept like a baby. It was the first time that I had relief and realized there was an end to this craziness that no one seems to know anything about. I read about dust mites, bird mites, skin parasites and researched relentlessly.

Once I realized how many people are going through this with no direction and are as desperate as we were, I wanted to get my story out there for people that might not be looking in the direction of mold spores as that is not what I was looking for and to know that their is an end you just have to know what to look for. It was kind of a mistake (I swear god popped that article on my screen as I was looking up invisible biting bugs). I see these people that are talking suicide and losing their jobs and can't function with life because of this. Then you get these damn idiots that write a story and try to sell you some gimmick crap! They know these people are desperate! Alot of people are wasting thousands of dollars because they are so desperate to get rid of something that is not there. I spent about $400 on insecticides, bedbug bedding and scabies treatment for nothing. Thank god I didn't get the exterminator in my house. The day after we were going to spend over thousand dollars on exterminating my house for nothing. I pray this reaches someone and can help them before they loose their mind like I almost did. I am not saying this will solve every ones invisible biting bugs issue but it did for me and I believe it will for many that are just misinformed on what they are researching. Read some of the websites below that can be helpful.Good luck and god bless! ......Debra

    4. I had same symptoms, went to urgent care, and they said allergies. I thought no way, but took their advice and took Zyrtec everyday till I could see an allergist... no more itching feeling or bites! Don't know what allergy it could be, they said food, but I've been symptom free for three weeks! Only get itchy when the 24hr med wears off. If just for some relief and sanity, try it.

    1. I had been experiencing this same thing for a little over 2 months. I thought it was bed bugs but I was getting bit in my kitchen, in my closet in my bathroom everywhere! It was so bad other people started to notice the bites. I had abt 30 bites on each foot/ankle/lower leg then I started getting bit on my arms and side of stomach. Frustrated, scared and desperate I google invisible biting bugs cause that's exactly what I felt like was happening to me cause I never seen any bugs just the bites! To my surprise so many other people where dealing with this I told my mom about this and realized I had not changed my filter since I had been living in my new place which was 10 months. The same day I read it I changed the filter and it was full of mold spores bugs and insects! Disgusting!! But after I changed it I have not had 1 more bite! YOU ARE GOD SENT!!! I would have never thought my filter was the reason if I hadn't stumbled upon this blog! For anyone who is experiencing similar issues please try it!! It works!!!

I have 3 months of crazy itching and sleepless nights, Yet my partner has been fine. I used scabies treatment, bed bug treatment and even had the house bombed for all mites, fleas, bugs etc. Since reading your post I opened up the air vents, and sprayed hold & mildew remover in them. They had a black dust in them that was not obviously mold... But three days later no bites I hope I have reached the end. Thank you again!

  8. My mother is experiencing all of the symptoms listed. After reading this article I immediately turned of the heater that my mother keeps running all day and night because she refuses to put on layers and and get a blanket. I am fine because I cant breath in hot air it causes sinus infection so I keep all the vents in my room and bathroom closed. She is having someone to come out and change the filters.
How do you remove them from your face and hair?

  9. Yes I was going out of my mind. What I did was clean my whole house with what you suggested. I covered every bed and used this special soap online not costing much money from Amazon. Then and only then did I have success. I was so going crazy and never thought I was going to have any relief. I am glad I am not the only one that knew something was wrong. My doctors gave me different stories, all kind of poison meds and creams to apply. I abandon that approach and decided to research and use some a more natural approach. Thank God I did, because the others were to harsh for me and my family with possible long term cancerous effects.

I am about to drive myself nuts and the bugs must stick to your skin because I feel them when I go to my mom's house and sometimes when I am sitting at my desk at work. I really need some relief. 14. OMG I went thru pure HELL with this very same issue and funny enough it was in two different states. I couldn't understand wth was going on. We had just paid rent and couldn't even stay in our condo, we left EVERYTHING. I thought it was bugs so I considered everything a total loss. It had stopped life in it's tracks, no sleep, constant biting, my kids, husband and I had all developed bronchitis. It was the most horrible thing i've ever experienced. Thinking it was bugs I would wash all clothes and seal them in plastic bags seperatly just for that day of wear and then seal that in plastic tubs and store them outside. everyday was a ritual of scrub downs and disinfecting of bedding, walls...it was like a cdc quaranteen, no lie. suicidal wasn't an overstatement after months of this. It was the most horrible thing i've experienced and since i'm moving back to an area where I experienced this, i was looking at yard pesticides to prevent this before it became an issue which is what led me to this. Who wld've thought it, i so wish I'd seen this article years ago. we spent so much money, we lost all of our things. I researched everything and this is the first time i've seen anything about mold spores. I was so desperate I left where i was living in Hawaii, yes Hawaii, because we were in agony and to find out it was freaking mold spores... i'm beside myself right now :/ well can't go back but thank god i know now. Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for this info, it's worth in weight in gold!!!!! you're awesome and we so appreciate the this info.

We moved from Florida to Maine and all points in between only to find out a $1.00 bottle of bleach would have done the trick. I really started to think she was crazy and lost or the Devil had taken over her soul. Thank you so much you are or must be the Angel from Heaven I asked God to send her way.

We are on a very limited income and have bought all kinds of things as you did to get rid of something we can't even see. I am writing you from Tennessee right outside of Nashville. (LaVergne TN.) I wish there was something I could do for you in return. Our Dermatologist almost laughs at us. We have spent so much money with that clown. In fact we haven't even bought my husbands insulin for this month. I have spent thousands of hours online reading reading reading. Just thank you from the bottom of my heart. Ron and Karen

  16. Antiseptic for the skin is the cure. There are many factors causing the invisible biting on the skin including internal parasites. Anti parasite foods such as garlic, pumpkin seeds, etc. will help with that if no doctor will help. For the skin use antiseptics such as Dettol, peroxide and I've been told Mane n Tail for sores helps, too. The mite, unspecified, is hairy, which makes it look like a lint ball. When the mite is first hatched, it looks like a worm. It puts webbing on the skin, making the skin look old. The bites are the mites going back into the skin. The sores are the mates maturing and hatching out of the nest. Lysol is an antiseptic but is not recommended for the skin, as is clorox, ammonia and other products people have used. It takes a year to rid a chicken of mites, it may take you a long time, too. Keep your surroundings clean with vacuuming and antiseptics for your living space. Bengal Roach spray is good if you think you have bed bugs. I sprayed Bengal every time I changed the sheets. After two weeks, no more bed bug bites. My "cure" was the antiparasite foods and Dettol, peroxide and other antiseptics for the skin. Maintenance is necessary so never throw out the antiseptics. Most everyone has "this" so it will come back. The good news is, you can control it now.

  17. We recently moved into a new home and for the past month have been experiencing these symptoms. It did not help that I also came in contact with poison ivy.
I just left Walgreen seeking answers to what it could be? She suggested bed bugs, so I came straight home and check my mattress to no avail. Thank goodness.
So i'm researching the internet now and ran across this article. Thank you so much.
I have been tested in the past for allergies and MOLD was the #1 problem I faced. I have discussed with my husband a persistant cough that I have in the mornings. But the worst is the feeling of crawling, biting, and itching. I have round welt like bumps that have hole like centers. (Similar to mosquito bites)
We just had our well water softener tested due to nasty orange water to find out if it was safe to drink. We were told it tested positive for iron bacteria. Which I'm wondering if this would be considered a mold? I am showering in this same water. Is it possible that this could be my situation? We have already scheduled an air duct cleaning done and new carpet installed. My husband is not being affected and if it wasn't for the big bite marks and think he would think it was in my head. Can anyone please give me any further info. I will be trying peroxide as soon as I get finished here. Thank you so much for your article. Rosalind in Indiana

    1. I had a persistent cough but instead of the morning it was in th middle of the night. I went to a great ENT specialist that found out I had an infection in my sinus from fungus (eww). I am glad I ran across this article because I just finished dealing with a bedbug problem (only thing that worked was diatomaceous earth) and am now dealing with this prickly mosquito bite sensations that doesnt leave welts. My mother, daughter and mother in law developed similar skin irritations to yours. They swear by red carbolic soap to ease symptoms.

  19. Debra, you're right these things are INVISIBLE. Which is what kept me searching. Mold definitely makes sense, at least in this house, especially from having wet clothes sit without being put in the dryer, dirty air vents, etc. If this works Debra, I'll definitely tell others. Thank you so much ^_^

  20. This happened to me 8 years ago and I had no idea what was going on. Went to the emergency room telling them that I had fleas. They gave me a topical solution which obviously didn't work. Then I went to my doctor who sent me to my dermatologist who gave me a topical solution which still did not work. I was going crazy; searching for bed bugs to no avail; staying at other peoples apts; traveled went home to my parents for the weekend to get out of the city. Then for some reason they disappeared and I never knew what it was.

They came back this week and I began to stress out. I didn't know what I was going to do. Luckily I saw this article. I cleaned the filter in my A/C unit and washed all of my sheets and clothing thoroughly. This morning I sprayed myself down with chlorox bleach, silkwood-style. I was so happy to read this article, to know that I was not alone and to have a way to "cure" this. Thank you so much!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thank you for your article. It helped me identify my problem; mold under our cabinets. I was always getting "bitten" in my kitchen. I would never use a bug spray on my bed or clorox on my skin. These things put more poisons in your body that your already weak immune system has to fight. You want to build your immune system and remove the mold from inside of you and outside of you. Use pure undiluted vinegar, it kills mold on contact. Drink Apple Cidar Vinegar dilluted in water, it kills the moild inside of you, you can also safely bath in it and rub it on your skin. For bedding and air filters, use essential oils of Eucalpytus and Tea Tree (found at a local natural grocery for $5) These will both work dilluted in water or vinegar in a spray bottle to kill mold on surfaces and work to help your lungs and respitory system to rid the body of the mold that is growing inside of you. Grapefruit Seed Extract ($10- $14 at your local natural grocery) is the natures miracle anti-fungal, antibiotic, antiviral and antiparasitic. It boosts your immune system, removes all of these harmful substances from the body, clears sinus and mucus, clears yeast and candida and much more. Sure bleach is cheaper and easier but you harming yourself more and breathing in more toxins to an already comprimised respitory system and spraying sheets with it or bug spray is wrecking havic on your nervous system, immune system, respitory system. Get healthy naturaly. You will feel a million times better.

  22. Debra, thanks for your post. It at least gives me another avenue to look into, for 6 months I have been suffering from something that started out as flushed chest and itching around my nose and mouth to what appears to be bites that vary in size an location. Usually they seem to be on exposed areas, wrists, forearms, backs of knees but then also across my lower back, armpits and inner thighs. IT has been hell. It seems to have a weekly cycle, where Sunday and Monday nights are the worst.

I am convinced it's a creature thats getting me, because thats exactly what it feels like, I feel crawling and I can even feel the bite is more like a pinch than a "sting" BUt I have noticed mold in the corner of my bedroom and I have been know to have a humid house. So lets see If this helps. If so I'll let you know and then I'll name my first born after you! Even if it's a boy :)

  27. It's either your tooth fillings or flying midges. Watch session one episode 8 of tv series diagnose me. You will see yourself. The doctor found its a slow POISONING of your body and brain of toxic metals from your teeth. It apparently causes the sensation of bugs crawling on you. We were able to find a colony of flying midge babies at the foot of my wood bed. It was tested by the pest control company and although still yucky it felt good to finally know they weren't mites or some other embedded thing. I couldn't get all of them out of every crack so we pulverized my brand new bed. It came from viet nam. Not sure if that makes any difference. Best of luck to you.

  29. Three months of hell.
My dog started scratching and a day later I did as well.
Itching and bites with no welts or redness.
Unseen things crawling all over my body. Especially at night.
Doctors and Vets said it is mites. Spent a lot of money on fumigation and sprays. Anti histamien meds and treatments did not help.
I was tempted to burn the place down. I mean it. I was desperate. Only I and the dog were affected. The rest of the house and people were not affected at all.
I do believe that you have given the answer to my prayers.
I am going to spray my room with a solution of vinegar and bleach and wash all my bedding and clothes with vinegar water. I will also start drinking Apple Cider vinegar in small daily doses and use vinegar in my bath water. I do hope it works. My dog and I so need a break from this itching and scratching. I will use caution when applying the same to my little dog.
God bless you for sharing this with us. I will let you know soon as to the outcome.
If this works I will advertise it everywhere. An answer to many prayers for God to help me with this problem. Freely I have received. Freely I will give.
    Shalom.

    1. Put Revolution on your dog once every two weeks. It was recommended to me by a pet dermatologist and was the only way I got rid of these bugs. Now that I have no more pets they are coming after me again and I am going nuts trying to figure it out. It's not mold, I live in CA and not by water and have just moved into a new place. Revolution on my cats, every two weeks, was the only thing that gave me relief.

      Delete
    2. One other note, yes the cats are still alive. The dermo said Revolution every two weeks on cats is perfectly safe. Not sure about dogs, but assuming since they are larger it is OK. I had this problem for 6 years and then did the Revolution thing and it was a Godsend! However I left my boyfriend and moved out.. In fact not taking any clothes, towels, bedding, shoes or purses. Nothing with fabric. But somehow they have found there way back to me. Am looking for permanent solutions. But if you have pets, you can at least get relief and go back to living a normal life, while looking for a permanent solution, by using Revolution, every two weeks to the day.. It will take one to two months to kick in and you may notice some bug in the wetter months.. But just clean your home regularly and get rid of carpeting if you can. This was much better controlled, using the Revoltion, with no carpets..

  37. Can anyone else relate ? I have symptoms everywhere I go - I Can feel the crawling wemsation on my body and then today I experimented. ..instead of instinctively swatting and trying to smother the invisible thing on my body.... I let it go. Sure enough there was a bite there shortly thereafter. Very very small little pinprick red bite. Cannot see anything even with a magnifying glass... been to 3 doctors, (4 including the surgeons office I run), and nobody can give me answers.... 1 dermatologist said bedbugs. Scowered my bed but could not find any... and fumigated with a pest control company just to be sure. All with zero results. Did 1 treatment of permethrin - going to to 2nd treatment tomorrow (5 days later). Yesterday I had minor relief and thought I might have a winning chance... took a bath..a hot bath- with about 2.5 cups of epson salts then scrubbed my body really hard afterwards. Showered and put teatree oil in my shampoo. Got out of shower put more teatree oil all.over body an got under 10 bites that nite. Today I had some bites and stripped down mid work to smother myself in teatree oil again. Minor relief but no cure. Tonight- tossed bedding into the dryer while I scrubbed and soaked with epson again. ..repeat of last night except now many more bites and frequent crawling sensations. Also bought some vitamins and vinegar cider which I am implementing. If after my entire house is cleaned this weekend, and after 2nd permethrin treatment does not work I am going to stay elsewhere with my little one for 2 weeks. Will post again after to let you all know if migrating worked. If it did I will know it is mould spores. I live in an older home snd my landlords are extremely cheap. Any advice on taking them to court ? Found a dead bird by garage after I did a dump run....I was suspecting bird mites/morgellons/rodent mites but the most I have ever seen are very tiny white specs that don't move -possibly just skin. Looks like nothing under magnifying Glass. Am getting so desperate and soon fear I will lose my job. My new boyfriend of 3 months...we are head over heels but since I had this...we are fading. Going on only 2+ weeks but I am already crying at night from frustration. I might mention he has no symptoms and was (exposed) for at least 1.5 weeks.....I am highly doubtful it is scabies. No burrows. No lines. Just tiny red bites and an itch that makes me want to snorkel in a pool of javex . Going crazy. Seeing a lot of pleas for help but no cures :(. If it was mites you'd think I'd see them tho right ? Anybody else having similar symptoms ?? My email is flamburgini@hotmail.com anyone that can relate or has a cure please please contact me. My life is literally crashing..job is failing .relationship going slowly down. Cannot bear this.

Has anyone tried saran wrapping their bodies with some kind of solution in the skin ????? Any thoughts?

  38. To add to above. I might mention all the other things I am doing that do not really help much. Bought green earth bed bug dust in the hopes it would kill the beasts... I think it has helped a wee bit.. going to get some DE soon (food grade) and try that. I know we are all not alone so let's all work together. Those experiencing similar afflictions.... let's get in touch. What wkrms- what doesn't. ..if it is as simple ass mold I swear I will live every day to the fullest. This malady has got me and Satan is bringing me down. Prayer everyone ... Am only 2 weeks into this but it's driving me crazy...

Anyway : SYMPTOMS: bites all over body. More frequent st night when invisible bastards are more active. They seem to really like to bite at my pubic area ..all around vagina, and legs/feet. They also like my neck and back...armpits... scalp sometimes but so far soaking hair in teatree oil has kept them from biting scalp. When they bite my groin I put pure teatree oil on and it usually stops in that area - it migrates to another area (thighs usually or inner leg).
Also just crawling sensations all the time but nothing to be seen. More active after night. Sharp stings when they bite after crawling sensation. Small red dot to appear after. The itch the next day is extreme but again...tea tree oil relieves this.
So to summarize....I've decided to do a saran body wrap with pure teatree oil snd leave it for at least 12 hours after throughly cleaning . If permethrin doesn't work of course. ..Epson salts at a high concentrate might help in the tub w hot water before hand. Gah sorry for the ramble . Hope we can all work together and be the forum on the net that cures this miserable malady.

    1. I really do think these invisible biting bugs are mold spores, because I washed my walls and floors with everything from Pine Sol, to Bleach, to Borax mixed w/ ammonia, to enzyme cleaners. The invisible cloud of biting dust just settled on everything (walls, floors, clothing) and reinfested everything that I spent hours cleaning. I just made the bites less severe by cleaning with borax and ammonia. The dust cloud thinned out considerably when I purchased an air purifier from Walmart. It's supposed to kill bacteria w/ UV light, and after running it for only one day I felt that I could go to sleep w/out waking up with invisible dust and bugs covering the bed, the sheets, me, and everything else.
I soak anything that I wear in diluted enzyme cleaner, after purchasing a giant plastic tub from Walmart. I've had good results soaking pajamas for 2 days and washing the entire load with borax, soap, and ammonia--along with an hour drying on the highest dryer temp. I bought the enzyme cleaner from a local janitorial supply store that sells the stuff for commercial use. It comes w/ soap added in the mixture and is only $12.50 per gallon as opposed to Nature's Miracle cleaner from Petco from $15 (Amazon) to $30 (Petco) a gallon. Enzymes aren't the best things for your clothes because they will eventually make your clothes threadbare, because they break down organic material--but they send these spores running out of my clothes. My bedding is a different story. I do well with micro fiber sheets, but the spores tend to hang onto the cotton sheets. I just got eaten alive trying to sleep w/ a cotton flat sheet and a comforter that had only been soaked overnight, so I'm gonna have to soak those kinds of things for as long as I can and observe the outcome.
I am trying to stop using the Petco enzyme cleaner on my face because it is harsh and strips away delicate layers of skin, but when I first started cleaning these spores landed on my face and neck. A diluted solution of Nature's Miracle was the only thing that made the INTENSE biting, stinging, and itching subside. When my face feels infested from cleaning the apartment I reach for a baby wipe instead. Skin that is stripped will make your bug experience worse, because it is too thin and weak to protect you from the microbes in your environment. Having said that, I still use the commercial enzyme on my head, arms, and legs because sometimes the discomfort is just too much for me. I cannot afford a gallon of the Kleen Free enzyme spray that is actually safe to soak in a bath with, so I spot treat w/ what I have and spray my cleaner on ANYTHING that bites me. That's as far as I've progressed and I have picked up tips from people like you who are trying to fight these spores.

    2. As an update, I have begun having GI problems as well as a sore throat & intensified nasal allergies. I've had to take apple cider vinegar internally for the 1st time today to combat both the sore throat & the GI issues, because I know that both are created by exposure to mold spores. I now wipe my face w/ ACV before I wash it & also wipe my whole body down w/ it before showering. I follow up the shower w/ a generic anti-fungal cream for my face and regular lotion w/ some oil added to it on my body. I now soak my clothes in a mixture of white vinegar & diluted borax w/o itching or feeling creepy crawlies after putting them on. I stopped doing things to stir up the spores like washing the walls & now just spray walls & floors down w/ a mixture of TSP, washing & baking soda. I mop the residue off the floor after a few days w/ plain dish soap in an attempt to kill as many spores as possible. I have blocked off the moldy vents that caused all this in the best way that I can and run an ultrasonic humidifier filled w/ the TSP mix to kill airborne spores. I'm also hoping to schedule an appointment w/ an allergist to get an ELISA skin test & something called an FID test to identify what type of mold I have been exposed to. I am not optimistic because no one yet believes my symptoms because they haven't seen any conclusive evidence. This means my worsening health is the proof that they need, but I don't even want to think about suffering anymore. For anyone who suspects mold, please check HVAC as well as wet spots for obvious mold. My next battle is to improve air quality in my apt w/ an air purifier that has a washable filter that can still handle the nasty air in my apt.

  39. Be aware that if you have any red marks or bite/scratch marks, it could be bed bugs. After 5 doctors, 3 exterminators and even a desperate trip to the ER, I had no answers for my night crawling sensations and a few red bumps. I had blood tests for my thyroid, liver and kidney all come back healthy. My biopsy showed a 'reaction' and possible eczema.

FINALLY a medical resident explained that this 'invisible biting bug' is bed bugs. Because I was cleaning like someone with OCD, the bed bugs never grew beyond nymph stage and stayed 'invisible' to the naked eye. That's why even the exterminators were baffled and told me literally, 'your house is clean'. The obvious bed bug photos we see online are from infestations that have gone on untreated for a long time and the bugs have matured through 5 stages of growth. Also, a biopsy would be inconclusive and vague because there would be no bug evidence in the bite. That's because bed bugs bite and then move back into a dark mattress. Trust your instincts and keep fighting forward even when doctors and exterminators are baffled. This sensation is NOT in your head and it's sad to see so many web pages citing 'delusional parasitosis' and making people feel like they're losing their marbles when there is a logical (but not visible!) reason for their experience.

    1. This makes alot of sense.the bugs I find go from a glitter speck (the egg, I think) to translucent, to opaque, to a whitish before they end up a reddish brown color. the ones that destroyed my life, I believe, are a type of burrowing flea, Tunga Penetrans. There is way more than one species of Tunga Penetrans. Check on pub med for descriptions. Also, war vets who returned home from duty overseas have reported bad infestations of this nasty parasite. It is known too be the smallest flea on earth. with the ability to travel anywhere around the world, and with so many people traveling from different locations every single day, its puzzling that no one has figured out that in some cases, of course not all that, there is indeed a parasite. Unfortunately, there are the people like myself that report a non healing lesions with a single black puncturel in the middle. The black dot or center is the pregnant females rear end that drops eggs into your environment. Females are the burrowing ones.my boyfriend refused to believe me until his feet were so swollen and inflamed and full of varying size holes. Each hole has the female, eggs,or larvae. Extremely simiLar to the nasty photos of Tunga Penetrans you can find online, but his feet were not all black and rotted. Now, he believes me. Great consolation prize, huh? Ive cried so much I no longer have tears.best of luck to all. Love and light, Theestarseed

  41. Thank you for setting up this page, but I think what a lot of these people are experiencing is more than just mold. Distinct bite marks usually mean there is some kind of bug/insect.

There is a lot of information at the AfterMite website for treating bird mites, springtails, scabies, and Morgellons. If you are looking for specific treatment ideas, I hope you take a look at the site. There are also some pretty good forums too.

  44. Hi everyone, I wanted to share how I cured these bugs. Some of you may think this is crazy and I still think it's extremely weird but it worked so I can't deny it. I am a 33 year old guy from Australia, surfer, entrepreneur and normal guy. I spent a year battling these things and as it turns out, they are invisible for a reason. I went to countless doctors and spent months researching. Nothing helped until I went to a spiritual healer one day out of desperation. She did s healing and I bought some crystals and over the next few nights I slept right through the night! Now if any one would have told me that this was the solution in the past I would of laughed at them. But I had nothing left to lose and it worked. Anyway I just thought I would share. It was the worst year of my life but now it's over. Please contact me if you want more clarification. Luke@32degrees.com.au

I thought i got bitten by something but had a illergic reaction mid last year.I went to the doctor for the swelling, My Dr. concluded that it was a insect bit. but since then i have moved. All my things were in storage prior to moving. but i have experience so many bites. checked for bed bugs and any and every bugs i could think of. My only problem is i swell up very bad, i am praying that your method will help me. And yes i have been exposed to mildew & mold.

  52. I am so glad to hear this problem is not something I made up in my own mind. I have been experiencing bits for the past month and a bit. I would get red bumps and it would swell up with some discomfort and not itch, but then started getting larger bumps about 1 cm in diameter that had a slight raised yellowish tip in the centre and it itches. I have been telling my partner that something is biting me, but because he has no symptoms he thinks its some sort of allergic reaction because my skin is very sensitive. I have read a bit online trying to find invisible bugs or bites from bedroom and every time bed bugs comes up. I have tried vacuuming the bed and mattress and the floor and sprayed the mattress with antibacterial spay, and also washed everything on the bed, after doing that the bite stopped for about 2-3 days and then it came back. I have been looking and keep my eyes out for any clues on my sheets, and I couldn't find anything that suggested fleas, I use to have cats so I'm very familiar with flea bite and the poo they leave behind. I tried looking for other bugs but could not find anything, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough, it's very stressful when I don't know what the cause is and having other people think I'm being crazy and complaining. After reading Debra's post I realised the small aircon with dehumidifier function in the bedroom we bought about two months ago, has been turned on every other day or so, and I'm thinking that might be the cause of things, I will get my partner to move it out of our room and do a general clean of everything in our room and hope that will get rid of this problem. But thank you Debra for posting about the fungi spore, I would have never thought of it, even after seeing doctors didn't help.

Relief from Invisible Biting Mites in Homes...

  56. I just started researching this "invisible bug epidemic" about a couple of weeks ago when I started getting bit in bed one night. I have tried MSM powder, windex, Listerine and lots of cleaning to get some relief. Has anyone tried anything else that has rid them of this awful plague that was not related to mold??

    ReplyDelete
  57. I've unfortunately had this issue for 10 years since my last high school reunion. I went to NYC and came back with large bed bug bites and then the problem started after that. I never found any bed bugs. And then started having bites and the crawling sensation like fleas at night and in the dark and then in my clothes in all day parts, but mostly at 5pm or 5am.. Whenever the lights go out.. In the movies, on a plane, they seemed to wake up.. I even used to sleep with the lights on, using a face mask, but then they would crawl under the mask and it would creep me out. I ended up having multiple bug guys tell me they didn't know what it was, I've had a heat treatment, only one and it may not have been totally effective. I've used diamactus earth, I've used windex, bleach, etc.. I've moved 6 times in the last ten years. Once getting rid of all my furniture and bagging my clothes and had the cat flea dipped and once, just last week, moved and got rid of all my clothes, towels, bedding, luggage, anything with fabric. The only thing that gave me relief from these bugs was something recommended by a pet Dermotologist. I investigated this route because it always seemed to me that when I held my cats that u would get bitten, or wherever they sat, there would be creepy crawlers in the couch or on the bed. The less I slept with the cat, the less crawlers in the bed. They recommended I use Revolution flea control every two weeks on the cats.. It is perfectly safe as some kittens are allergic to fleas and need to be in this medication their entire lives.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Continuing from previous comment.. Anyway, the Revolution gave me near perfect relief for the four years I lived with the cats. There was even about 8 months or so where I was able to not put the Revolution in at all. I thought I was rid of them.. However always in the rainy season in Calufornia, the my seemed to act up. I just started the Revolution again and it went away.. Sometime it took a week or two. The initial treatment four years ago took about 2 months to fully feel bug free. I was able to have a normal life. But, the problem was not completely eradicated. I actually split up my fiancé, who owns the cats. He never really totally believed me as he was not being bothered. Which was a huge source of anxiety for me. So the Revolution was a godsend. You cannot use a cheaper flea control brand, it won't work, I tried. But last week, I moved out, and left my fiancé.. I now have the old original horrific bug problem again. I find myself trying all remedies again. Vacuum every day, wash bedding every day, put everything in plastic, use windex, just trying listerine. Will try some more things on these other sites. But if you have pets, you are lucky because you can at least get

    ReplyDelete
  59. Relief while you look for a permanent solution. I am interested in investigating what a fellow said a few posts back about it possibly being bed bugs in a larve stage. I do notice that the less time I devote to controlling these thing, the larger they seem running through my clothes, and the larger the bites. When using the Revoltion, they seemed to be kept at a very small stage or just completely gone. It doesn't quite make sense with my discoveries that an air filter seems to make the situation better, nor that a total apartment heating didn't get rid of the problem, but did make it a little better for about a week. ( pre-Revoltion). At this point I am tempted to literally get rid of everything I own. Put all my family photos and documents on a hard drive and stay for a week in a hotel with insecticides and call it a day. I actually read that one guy did this after two years of the problem and completely got rid of them. This may be my next desperate move. My sanity and peace of mind are worth more than my stuff. Other observations over the years.. Getting rid of all carpeting helps, especially while using Revolution in pets. Oddly enough, I seemed to have found a sticky clear substance on my wood furniture that once cleaned off with windex or whatever, seemed to help alley ate issues a bit. Ironing sheets helps and sometimes lice treatments, LiceFree helps a little. Besides that I could use any and all suggestions before I do a complete revamp of all possessions.. In the olden days, people would just set their possessions on fire when infested and start a new.. I guess now we just trash them or get rid of them somehow.. But hopefully it won't come to that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. One last comment.. There were / are a number of ways that I know these bug issues are not in my head. 1) after being bitten one time I had the bites examined by an expert Dermotologist who was also a bug expert.. He said I was definitely being bitten by something. I could never find a damn sample as hard as I tried with magnifying glasses, tape, vacuum bags, heat lamps over water..maybe I just didn't try hard enough. 2) a neighbor in the building where this all started in Marina Del Rey, CA also had the same problem that his girlfriend didn't feel, but he did. 3) when I travel, aside from a couple sensations on the trip away from home, I don't feel anything. I went on a two week cruise, felt nothing, came back.. Same issue. I travel frequently for work, feel nothing while I'm away. 4). Mostly feel the issue in bed or sitting on a couch.

    1. Me too! I know how you feel. I have had this for years now. Started after a trip to South American local market and a toxic mold exposure a month later. But same, I can shower and put on clean clothes and feel fine but sit on my couch or bed and within 20 mins the crawling and biting starts again. I never had a problem with these items before. I have been to 2 dermatologists, several doctors etc. Most recent one wouldn't even look at the changes on my skin, just said it was all in my head. Very rude, all the docs have refused to do a skin scraping or any other tests. I am getting tired of fighting the skin issue and the medical system at the same time.

I had the house heat treated and bbs are gone but something else arrived. I sleep on a sofa in my basement and keep cups under each leg with Sevin Dust in them. I also dry brush my skin when they are on me. Both of these have helped, but they are not gone. My wonderful happy life as I once knew it is gone.

    1. Dee,
I believe we are all battling a fungus that is under the skin. The mites are eating the fungus. Try taking MSM pills as directed on the label. Also you can get pure sulfur and use it topically. keep yourself dry as fungus likes moisture. After a bath hairdryer your skin. The mites will leave if you have no food for them. I too had banished my self and was sleeping on an air mattress under a plastic emergency blanket. Also apple cider vinegar soaks work great. I used it straight on hands and feet and then applied with a cloth everywhere else. Warm it on the stove not the microwave. Let it dry on your skin. Get the kind with the sediment in it. Cider vinegar with the mother.

  64. I had this for a couple years, I got rid of it by making a solution of 1 cup water, 4tbs sea salt, 4tbs epsom salt, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Warm it up to dissolve. Put it all over body before bed, concentrating on hair and scalp. Leave in the whole night. You can cover with a little oil like coconut oil. Then wash off in the morning. It may also help to wash sheets in boiling water. After just one time I got rid of the biting. Every couple weeks I will just massage solution into hairy parts of body.

I had this for a while, and when I spray flea spray and Stay in the house instead of leaving for 10 minutes or so, I get that itchy skin sensation, thinking i had a flea infestation and I was getting bitten I'd spray more, then I realised I was only getting the itch if I sprayed my living room that day, I haven't sprayed for a while and the itch disappeared, I sprayed the other day and in the evening the itch started, it was gone in the morning, I sprayed this morning before I went to work and, within an hour of being home I feel that itchy sensation starting up. The flea spray I use had 'insect growth repellent' that stops fleas from growing into adult fleas.

  77. In my case I'm the only one feeling anything, sleeping in same bed with hubby. We changed sides, and here they came....I'm about to lose it.

  78. Thank you so much for this post! I kept thinking I had bed bugs but couldn't find anything and my bites were not consistent with typical bed bug bites. I was recently diagnosed with anxiety so I thought I was going crazy. I literally went ape shit last night feeling the bites and not seeing the bugs. I was thinking... shoot maybe I'm schizophrenic! Then I started getting depressed because that is a super serious mental health issue. Then I googled "the feeling of bug bites with no bugs" and your blog came up. I was so happy to read it! I have a humidifier that has been in my room for a long time with water and I need to empty it. The humidifier also sits right next to my window AC unit. We have also been having a leaky roof for years and I am 100% I am exposed to mold in my room and the bathroom. I also looked up mold spores symptoms. Well over the last month I have noticed super puffy eyes (each and every day), shortness of breath, wheezing, fatigue, headaches, light sensitivity, poor memory difficulty finding words. These have started slowly over the last year and have increased incredibly over the last month. I was attributing everything to my anxiety and fibroids. I read that mold spores can kind of attach to your skin. I'm even feeling super itchy at work... ugh. Well, I am going to talk to my mother about the mold spores and see if we can get our home remedied. I know it's crazy expensive. I hope we can afford it because I'm tired of going ape shit every night.

  80. I noticed that when I'm in Anchorage I don't have the invisible bug bites. Only in Hawaii but only certain times of the year. I realized I didn't have them in the car or away from my condo. Recently they did the quarterly bug sprayings. I had taken everything up off the floor in anticipation, even the scatter rugs. Within a couple of days after the spraying I realized I was going crazy with invisible bug bites with no marks again. I put out my vinegar traps but only caught a couple of gnats in three days. Finally the "lightbulb came on", I realized I wasn't being bit by the bathroom sink, kitchen sink, or in bed. I had replaced the scatter rugs! I'm now thinking I was having a reaction to the bug spray the exterminator uses. Most of the sensations were on my lower legs that drove me crazy.
Give your invisible bug problem another possible clue to the cause. I think my body is more sensitive to the insecticide as the more I used the more I was going crazy with invisible bugs!

  81. I've been following this post and reading all comments as I have the same problem, but my question is: If it's mold spores how come it only happens at night when it's dark and do mold spores bite, cuz I'm being bitten? I do not have bed bugs and I have an air purifier running all night. I can feel them jumping on me. My son feels nothing! Also, I never see anything and the warmer it is in my apt the more they seem to come out.

    1. It has to be an insect. I agree and am suffering as well. I was rid of them. For several months and now it's back. I'm wondering if I got them back from trying on clothing in the store. I'm thinking I brought it back in new clothing.

    2. I have been going through the same thing since August,my son isn't affected but all of his clothes are loaded with these tiny mites, he even had me sectioned into a nut house, I went 8 days without sleep because of the itching, I thought that were bird mites but they infested my clothes, dresser drawer, shoes and me, I see them at night on my bed, they are either brown, reddish brown or a clear white and if I try too catch one they some how disappear into the bedding, I barely get out of my apartment,my days are spent washing my sheets and blanket and clothes and vacuuming and washing my entire bedroom, I have clothes that I can't remove them from no matter what I use or how long I soak them. The only reason why I am getting any sleep at all is because I buy pills illegally, people can judge me,but I'm not spending the rest of my life in a locked psychiatric hospital. I wish you the best and I hope that you will find a solution soon.

  82. This is a spiritual issue.. the problem goes way deeper than most will ever realize.. I am not a conspiracist.. I'm a scientist and business owner. The bacteria found, agrbacterium is a bovine issue.. normally.. you're getting part of this from eating gmo foods.. most people effected also have the bacteria that causes Lyme disease.. get a microscope.. you'll see this is part bug and part fungus.. and part technology. It is also coming from the air.. the good folks at Cambridge now have created something called an atmotube that detects many different variables in the environment.. and reports it through an app on your phone.. we are being poisoned.. in every possible way.. it makes the body toxic and fungal.. and mites and other predators will be attracted to it. This thing really is a demon. The only solution is to remove your body as a potential host.. by maintaining a healthy ph balance (slightly alkaline).. might be time to dedicate some time to your relationship with God.. however you may define that..

I can promise you, if you keep looking for a worldly explanation you will go down 1000 rabbit holes and feel more crazy and hopeless than you did.. from the inside out is the only way to beat it.. stress makes the body more acidic.. so do whatever you can to try to keep calm.. because this devil loves an acidic host to attack.. the answer is not of this world.. it will force you to raise the frequency of your physical/emotional and spiritual being.. some of you may wish to continue to run in cirlcles looking for an explanation that you could tell your doctor about.. there is NONE.. the minute you start looking at your diet, your relationships (forgiveness) and your relationship with your divinity the sooner you will be on your way to healing.. this illness, or pest.. is a fear device.. in a way it's a test.. fear is not real and.never to be believed.. it's only job is to replicate more fear..

Search alkaline foods and change your diet immediately.. you'll start to see results in a week.. stay the hell away fro
Walmart and other stores with tons of gmo junk.. they are a hotbed for all this stuff.. alkaline foods are electron donating and Increase the body's voltage.. In other words alkaline and life supporting can be interchanged.

Good luck to all.. god bless you all.
if anyone would like to know how I beat this in about one month (I have no affiliation to any product or company) I'd be happy to share.. but this is a personal journey, a spiritual journey.. it may contain similarities between some who have gone beyond it.. but in the end this journey is our own.. and will be unique to each..

  83. https://atmotube.com and a cheap 60x microscope if you're curious.. the principle of cleaning from the inside out still applies.. but if you need confirmation that we're being poisoned by a multitude of means.. these two things are all you need

  85. Mold spores! I've been eaten alive for the last few years and never considered mold. I've been treated for the usual, scabies, as that's all the doc could think of. But it just doesn't fit. The bites are so small you can barely see them and my legs just get slightly red at night, as though something is irritating them. I can't show that to my doc as he's not around at night!! Everyone has been at a loss. Pest control came out 3 times, left sticky traps but came back with nothing do they wouldn't treat. It all started when a bird came down our chimney and I closed off the air bricks to prevent any bugs getting in. That's when it started. But they weren't bird mites, they can be captured and seen. And then we tried bed bugs but no luck. But now I've seen this thread I've realised my house hasn't been breathing for two years, and mold spores are collecting round windows, the bathrooms, and random corners. I'm going to have to open up the whole house and nurse it back to health. Hopefully that will stop this nightmare. My kids haven't been affected, just me. It'll be nice to have a good nights sleep again. Knowledge is power, I'm so glad I found this thread.

  92. After thinking that I had lice or flea issues I realized that it was an allergy to mold. Thank you so much for this blog. I wasted a lot of money on flea floggers and exterminators. My toilet leaked and it caused mold on my baseboards behind the toilet as well as a small corner on my bedroom wall. I felt like the invisible bugs were following me to work and in my car. I was so miserable. I drank apple cider vinegar and it was the first night that I felt relief. After a few days it upset my stomach. After a friend told me that I must be allergic to mold she told me to take a Benadryl. I am now back to normal and am treating the mold spots with an indoor spray from home depot.

  93. My husband and I had gone through the invisible itching and we found the solution. Just a bit of background first …We spent a lot of money trying to get to the bottom of it including hiring and environmental engineer to take air samples (to check for asbestos and organisms). We had a bird nesting in our mail box. In the same 2-3 week window, we got mite bites from a hotel, and we visited some land and had a bunch of deer ticks crawling our bodies. After seeing a dermatologist, getting allergy skin tested for mold, buying a kid's microscope to find the invisibles, having our pet birds tested for bird mites, buying oils, bringing out 2 pest companies, washing bedsheets/clothes nightly, cleaning and sanitizing, bombing with cedar, using epsom salts ete etc (hell), we started to wonder why nothing was working and at that point considered that it was coming from our bodies. With what had happened, we spoke to our Dr about getting testing for Lymes. We both tested positive and I later confirmed with my family doctor that Lymes can manifest itself as itching. 1 year and 9 months later, we started the Buhner protocol (see his book - healing lyme) and have been on it so far for about 6 weeks. Itching is going down for my husband. We both have more energy. Honestly, I can’t believe I was as sick as I was. Low energy, itching, memory loss, hearing loss. One note, most Lymes Disease tests are not very accurate and may not detect the disease. I suggest spending the extra money and having the blood test sent to IGenX.

  96. I was pleased to hear what we are experiencing is not in our heads. We are being tormented by invisible biting and the constant scratching. At first it was just myself getting bite, until it start affecting my husband. I am 99% in agreement that it has to do with mold in some form because it only happens while we are sitting on the couch. There is vent above the couch that blows downward. Months ago I had taken some air vents down washed them with bleach, however, I did not treat the ones in the living room. I changed the air filters once a month but the house still has a moldy smell. At least now I have something to work with. To everyone that posted comments, thank you so much.

  97. I just came across this post, thinking could it really be that easy. Trying to get back to sleep with no luck, I finally dragged myself out of bed. I walked to the cupboard, grabbed the bottle of bleach and dumped some in my hot tub. Stripped down and hopped in. I was itching like crazy in the beginning, but subsided fairly quickly. Half hour later so far so good. I will be repeating this process again in the morning. Thxs..... so far

This is flea, in your ear, not the outer ear, the middle ear, the earliest from your nostrils in, let the back into your middle ear, in the middle ear, cheek breeding, thousands, and then Discharged from the cerumen to the outer ear, serious from the nostrils, eyes pupil, urethra, anal discharge. If it is out of the ear, part of the jump to your head, the body, part of the instinct and then jump into your nostrils (free fleas will jump to its nearest, carbon dioxide, hot place), then Your throat will have foreign body sensation (nose throat ears interlinked). If for some reason the ear is clogged and the large number of breeding fleas fail to jump out, then the flea will reach your brain and occasionally hear the flea jumping in your mind and will reach your lungs (uncertain, probably belly Somewhere), horrible, but not endanger your life. Fleas may be with your life, there are four years of patients, 8 years, and suicide, Zhang Ailing is also a patient, because of the fleas She live the United States is moving 180 times. Sadly, the useless doctor said it was what hysteria, obsessive-compulsive disorder, skin allergies, mental problems, more funny to say what flea comprehensive fantasy, who played the name! The Treatment method: the home with charcoal charcoal (non-motor charcoal), people lying in bed, charcoal on the side of the ear, fleas will jump out from the ear, if not jump out, you can use the little finger into the bottom of the ear press for two seconds, So that after the fierce pull out, cited fleas out, the effect is obvious. You may need a napkin to cover your nose and mouth to prevent fleas from jumping into your nose and mouth. Burn the gas carefully gas poisoning, please open the doors and windows. There are women on the Internet that in their own vagina breeding, I think it is possible, flea vitality is very tenacious, I hope she can get rid of torture as soon as possible, I also, has been almost a year, I have not get rid of. I hope everyone will come together to come up with a better way to come.

  102. Hi so here was my solution to the invisible bugs which were ruining my life, laying eggs in my scalp, travelling from my hair to my pants, jumping in my eyes, infesting my clothes. You name it, i had all the worst symptoms. Couldn't sleep for almost a year. Now lo and behold -- just like how all 3 doctors i saw thought i was absolutely nuts and each diagnosed me with delusionary parasitosis -- now all of you are going to think i'm nuts. Let me tell you all something. While i was dealing with this, i wondered why so many people would write posts, then disappear, and never come back to share what happened to them. So now i'm taking the time to tell you what happened with me. Eventually i got an appt with a dermatologist. One of the top ones in toronto, ontario, canada, where i live. Right away this guy said 'phantom limb syndrome', you have misfiring peripheral nerves that are making it seem like you have bugs and i suggest that you either take gabapentin or an anti-psychotic. So obviously i thought this guy just doesn't know. None of these people know who haven't experienced what we are experiencing. So, on my way home i stopped at my grandparent's house and the bugs were so bad -- and obviously just like me, i'm sure all of you have tried every damn remedy off these forums to no avail. Well, i just couldn't take it anymore so i thought what the hell i'll pop a few of my grandmother's gabapentins. --- now here's where you're all going to think i'm crazy --- it worked. It fucking worked. No joke. And now what i've come to realize is that i have peripheral sensory nerve damage which manifests as the exact thing we're all going through. Fucking invisible bugs. I know all of you think, this guy doesn't have what we have, fucking don't believe me huh? are you sure? I had the bugs so bad i shaved my head 15 times, and i had long, beautiful, black hair and look gorgeous with it, and i would rather shave my head, spray bug spray on my head, jump in a pool of bleach, bug bombed my place 4 times, my car once and almost went brain dead from the fumes. Let me break it down to all of you go get a damn prescription for gabapentin from your doctor and try it. I swear to god all of you do it. You've tried everything just like me, now go to your doctor who will think you're bat shit when you tell them the story, but then tell them you think gabapentin might work. The problem is general practice doctors, not all of them see peripheral neuropathies that manifest like this. Gabapentin is generic, there is no possible way i can make money off this. I am writing this post for all of you. WHo never wanted to go near anybody because you thought you'll infect anybody you get near. THe weird thing is, my bugs used to shoot off my body and attack people, and i swear i would see people flinch when the bugs hit them in the eyes. Even my girlfriend got the marks that i got. So there was something organic, and you know where i think it came from; shitty clothing, clothing with elastane fibers. THose fibers act like parasites, BUT, when you take gabapentin, they can't harm you because gabapentin acts on your nerves. Please everybody get gabapentin. Most likely you are hypersensitive to something which is associated with your peripheral neuropathy, and was cause by something real. Like for me, i think mine was caused over time by alcohol and toxins. A lot of other causes are diabetes, trauma, certain medications, addictive drugs. But no doubt about it, my hypersensitivity to elastane make it was worse and i swear to god there's something in the fabrics coming from overseas, fucking cheap fabrics from india or indonesia or something like that. But please, please, please, all of you try gabapentin!!!!!!! PLEASE!!! If any of you again don't believe i have the same thing as you, re-read my post i had everything the same as all of you. THanks, if you would like to email me please do at: youngdoc83 @ hotmail . com
